Upload Data from CUCM to Call Accounting

Notes: This article applies to CUCM 6 and above. Call Accounting cannot report on data older than 365 days.

This article addresses two scenarios:

  • You need to run a Call Accounting report with dates prior to installing Call Accounting.
  • The FTP connection between CUCM and the Call Accounting server was lost.

Resolution requires two steps:

  • Manually export data from CUCM.
  • Upload data to Call Accounting.

Export CDR Records from CUCM

  1. Log in to the Call Accounting server and open the CUCM website.
  2. Select Cisco Unified Serviceability from the Navigation drop-down in the (upper right corner) and click Go.
  3. Select Tools > CDR Analysis and Reporting.
  4. Select CDR > Export CDR/CMR.
  5. Input date range of records, uncheck CMR records, and click Export to File.
  6. Right-click on the CDR Dump link and select Save Target As.
  7. Add ‘CDR’ to the beginning of the filename and save to C:\Program Files\Syn-Apps\CallAccounting\CDR.
    Note: Filenames must begin with CDR in order to upload them to Call Accounting.

Upload File to Call Accounting

  1. From the Call Accounting application, click Report Generation.
  2. Click Refresh Data at the bottom the screen.
  3. Run desired report.
