As a Syn-Apps Technical Writer, you will be tasked with creating, editing, and managing all technical documentation for our software and hardware. The Technical Writer will manage on-line and print documents including, (but not limited to): User Manuals, Administrator Guides, Knowledge Base articles, End-User and Administrator Training materials, FAQ’s, white papers, etc. The Technical Writer will be responsible for working with team members across the organization including Development, Sales, Marketing and Support.Position Requirements:
3+ years prior work-related experience writing complex technical documents
You will be creating new content, and editing existing documents in Madcap Flare
Exceptional communication (both verbal and written) and organizational skills
Ability to perform independent research to understand technical products
Proven track record of delivering quality documentation under tight deadlines with changing product requirements
Excellent use of English language and grammar
Ability to understand and clearly explain technical terminology to both tech and non-tech savvy individuals
Strong analytic, planning, and time management skills
Proficient using MS Office Suite
Bachelor’s degree in the Sciences preferred
Proficient using MadCap Flare, Adobe Suite, and revision control systems
Experience developing graphics, tables, charts, and other graphical elements
Comfortable working closely with engineering, management and marketing teams as part of the software development process
Familiarity with IT systems and network infrastructure is a plus!
