What is Revolution & Why is it Replacing CallAlert & SA-Announce?
Revolution is Syn-Apps’ next-generation notification platform. Our large and diverse customer base continues to challenge us with new requirements and integration needs. Additionally, emerging technologies offer possibilities that were never considered when we released SA-Announce in 2001 and CallAlert in 2008. The time has come for new innovations and advancements.
Revolution provides the capabilities for those advancements to meet and exceed customer demands moving forward, which is why we have decided to retire these products and work to advance customers to Revolution. We strongly encourage our SA-Announce and CallAlert customers to join us for a demo or install a trial of Revolution to see the difference for themselves!

Can Customers Add Licenses to their Existing Deployment?
Customers under an active maintenance contract that would like to add licenses to their existing App-Pendix, CallAlert, or SA-Announce server may do so until December 31, 2020.
Can Existing Customers Buy More Licenses for a New Site*?
Customers that request to add licenses for a new site will need to purchase Revolution. Refer to the information below about our Customer Loyalty Discount to learn how we’re helping existing SA-Announce and CallAlert customers make the transition.
*A new site is defined by installing the software on a separate server from the customer’s existing deployment.
What Does This Mean for Outstanding Quotes?
Expired quotes for SA-Announce or CallAlert opportunities will be refreshed with a comparable quote for Revolution, except where circumstances exist that impose unnecessary risk to the opportunity. We will evaluate each opportunity individually with the Partner and make a decision to honor the sale based on customer requirements and the anticipated opportunity close date. Please contact Syn-Apps Sales if you have a deal and need to request an exception.
If I switch to Revolution, Will I lose my active Maintenance Contract?
No! Customers can request to apply the remaining balance of their maintenance contract to the price of Revolution. Customers that have both CallAlert and SA-Announce typically save money by switching to Revolution!
